PROJECTS TO IMPROVE THE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY OF UKRAINIAN MINING AND METALLURGICAL ENTERPRISES AS A GUARANTEE OF SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE INGULETS GOK (MINING AND PROCESSING PLANT)

This article focuses on the pressing issue of enhancing operational efficiency at Ukrainian mining and metallurgical enterprises amidst wartime conditions. The research aims to identify opportunities to improve the operational efficiency of Ukrainian mining and metallurgical companies through the implementation of investment projects, defining specific steps and the scope of work for initiating, planning, implementing, cost assessment (budgeting), and evaluating investment projects.Using the example of PJSC Inguletsky Mining and Processing Plant, the article presents a step-by-step procedure for planning and implementing investment projects to ensure operational efficiency and sustainable development. The key challenges faced by Ukrainian mining and metallurgical enterprises are identified, including ensuring raw material quality, automation, and optimization of business processes. It is determined that for monitoring the flotation process, delayed results of express analyses, which record the process speed of foam in flotation machines “post-factum”, are insufficient. To monitor changes in the foam flow rate in flotation machines, visually analyze the foam, and control the flotation process on flotation chambers using an expert system for process stabilization, a VisioFroth system implementation project is proposed.The article examines in detail the main components of project management, its implementation stages, as well as cost and efficiency assessment procedures. Specific steps and the scope of work for initiation, planning, implementation, budgeting, and project evaluation are proposed. The obtained research results can be useful for project managers, as well as scientists involved in projects aimed at ensuring operational efficiency, sustainable development, and enhancing business competitiveness.
